The Capacitors want to take you on a journey to a time before digital downloads, social media or even guitar gods. When music was discovered over a transistor radio, a jukebox, or a 45 you stole from your uncle’s record collection.

 

Our style is early blues and rock and roll. We draw from the kings of Chicago (Little Walter, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters), the southern godfathers (Lazy Lester, Slim Harpo), the rock and roll prophets (Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly), and the California misfits who paid tribute decades ago (Tom Waits, The Blasters, The Red Devils).

 

You can find us in dive bars and juke joints around the Portland area. Come ready to shake your tail feather and tip your bartender. The Capacitors are charged and ready to electrify.
